Wow! Looking back at 2011, it is fascinating to see all that God has done through the small team at RCE and our many, many partners. Two more cohorts graduated from the Business Development Center in Rwanda this year, not without mountainous hurdles, but overcoming them just goes to show that God is involved in our efforts. During the last cohort, the BDC held a Leadership and Customer Care Seminar, presented by two Visiting Executives from Chick-Fil-A, which was attended by 120 people including leaders from many major businesses in Rwanda. In August of this year, we had our first training for licensees and facilitators during the Regent Discovery Days. It was a three day event where we presented the BDC model and provided the necessary training to actively participate. Moreover, we launched Envest Global which will focus on Kingdom impact investment, and a new partnering organization called the Christian Business Chamber (CBC) of Hampton Roads. We also launched our new website! We are now moving full speed ahead with our next cohort in Rwanda which is ready to take off with the New Year.

Even more exciting than the many things that were accomplished this past year are all the incredible things coming up in the New Year! We are taking the Rwanda BDC prototype and licensing it to organizations around the world. First up – Bangalore, India which will be launching in April. We will also be launching a research group called the Kingdom Research Fellows to include students and scholars in the Kingdom Business movement. And not to give too much away, but we are launching RCE’s biggest volunteer program yet in January 2012! If you have wisdom and business expertise to share, a little extra time each week to invest in the lives of entrepreneurs, and a desire to be meaningfully involved in something bigger than yourself, then we have just the opportunity. More to come in the New Year!
